Alzheimer’s one of Metabolic Syndrome Diseases…personal preferred expression: Insulin Resistant Diseases. BUT Alzheimer’s so insidious and humanely shattering. This Blog particularly concerned: Predominant Older population…politically, Seniors back seat in our society; Ignorance by Government and Health, particularly respecting Prevention….means our society rapidly heading for disastrous catastrophe. Alzheimer’s currently affects about 6 million in the US and Canada. Next 20 years will see 1 in 4 Americans suffering! Currently the third leading cause of death, but soon to beat heart disease and cancer! AND really no effective drug. BUT my belief, shared by informed pockets of experts, that we can react NOW! Bottom line…multilayered attack, with disciplines outlined on this WEB site. My determination to make intelligible…so that victims and their families have active hope and now! Objective an e-book…as fast as I can…tying reasoning and cross references so that all self evident and in one place. Photobiomodulation & Alzheimer’s is one of those stepping stones, and vitally important and fascinating with its referenced research. Imagine a combination of infra red and near infra red therapy AND combined with other healthy disciplines. The ability to turn Alzheimer’s around to help families with an intelligent and thought out plan after an inductive analysis is real motivation!

YouTube of Dr. Lew Lim…demonstrates effective, positive use of light therapy. It is clear that photobiomodulation, not only influences brain activity, therapeutic! Photobiomodulation & Alzheimer’s.

Reza Zomorrodi, Ph.D., one of top Canadian neuro-electrophysiologists, works with the Center for Addiction and Mental Health at the University of Toronto, and collaborates with Dr. Lew Lim. Photostimulation seems to create interaction between the light and mitochondria producing cellular energy, adenosine triphosphate, or ATP and other activating factors. Near-infrared light interacts with cytochrome c oxidase (COO), one of proteins in inner mitochondrial membrane, and member of the electron transport chain. COO being a chromophore — is molecule that attracts and feeds on light. Light also allows mitochondria to process electrons that generate ATP to complete biological processes. Also Nitric oxide (NO) is released back into the body after exposure  to red and near-infrared rays. and at mitochondrial level appears to trigger cellular repair…this includes brain!

About 40 percent sunlight energy is near-infrared. Northern climates and simulated lifestyle that avoid this energy source, major negative factor. Photobiomodulation & Alzheimer’s.
